candle crafter, market chatterbox, and creator behind exhale candles.

I started this small business at weekend markets here in Brisbane, Aus. Giggling with friends and strangers alike over candles that smelled like desserts and sweet treats. Sales are amazing in person (like we sell out!) but online? Crickets.

So I need a way to bring the market magic to the screen.

Now, every candle is hand-poured with care, lovingly named, and designed to make your home feel like a cozy hug, without overbearing scents or headaches.

WHY?

I have an auto-immune disease myself, so I know first-hand the struggles of walking into stores and seeing cute candles and then flaring up, leaving with an insane headache. I thought candles were not going to be a treat I could indulge in until I did the research. 

Did you know that some waxes and scent profiles when burnt are carcinogenic to people with low immune systems, or sensitive sinuses? This is why people get headaches and flares when they are using and burning certain candles.

I’m all about candles that look aesthetically pleasing, burn clean and come with just enough quirk to make you grin. If you’ve chatted with me in person, you know I’m more likely making you laugh while giving you insights you never knew about candles (nerd I know) but online, I’m still here, excited to light up your inbox/mailbox instead.

Quick Fun Facts

  • When I'm not making candles, I’m a HR Business Partner, trying to keep life fun and a smile on everyone's face. I also love a cheeky binge watch and a box of subway cookies. You do you boo x
  • My favourite scent is the Miss Mimosa - something about it itches my brain in the best way. 
  • I make the candles in small batches, usually in the 5-9 after my 9-5. Living in Queensland, Australia temps in the summer make it hard to pour and set candles in the midday heat so it works well.
