Candle Safety & Care

We want you to love every moment of your exhale candle, however the use of candles requires caution and awareness of the associated risks, so please ensure you always follow safety precautions.

 ! WARNING !

Do not leave a candle burning unattended.
Keep away from things that catch fire.
Keep away from children.

Ash’s hot tips:
  1. The first burn is the MOST important burn. When you first light any exhale candle, leave it to burn until the wax has melted to the edge to prevent any tunnelling. REMEMBER candles have memory and will burn to the same place if you extinguish it too soon on the first burn!
  2. Check the wick height before you burn - trim your wicks
  3. To ‘trim’ the wood wicks did you know you can just flick off the burnt/black part? - check our Instagram reel for pro tips on this here or below!

Candle Safety Instructions & Care Guide - get the best performance out of your exhale candle.
  1. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  2. Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
  3. Never use water to extinguish a candle. Blow gently and steadily on the flame to extinguish. If your candle comes with a lid, do not use the lid to extinguish the candle.
  4. Prevent mushrooming and black soot from forming on the glass by keeping wicks properly placed and trimmed. Ensure wicks are upright and trimmed to 7mm (1/4 inch) during use and each time candle is re-lit.

  6. Stop burning when 10mm (1cm) of un-melted wax remains in the bottom of the glass of your 300g and 60g candles.
  7. Never move a burning candle. Ensure candle is extinguished, wax is solid and jar is cold before handling.
